Former President Trump has demanded an immediate apology from President Joe Biden to millions of Christians and Catholics for declaring Easter Sunday as Trans Visibility Day. According to the Trump campaign, this action is viewed as part of the Biden administration’s ongoing attack on the Christian faith.
Trump’s call for an apology followed widespread outrage from prominent politicians and conservative commentators regarding the designation of the ‘Transgender Day of Visibility’ on such a significant Christian holiday.
House Speaker Mike Johnson expressed his dismay, stating, “The Biden White House has betrayed the central tenet of Easter — which is the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” He criticized the decision to recognize Transgender Day while celebrating Easter, calling it outrageous and abhorrent.
Biden’s declaration of March 31st as “Transgender Day of Visibility,” coinciding with Easter Sunday, sparked significant controversy. Trump’s national press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, condemned the move as “appalling and insulting,” emphasizing that it reflects the Biden administration’s ongoing hostility towards the Christian faith.
Leavitt called on Biden’s campaign and the White House to apologize to the millions of Catholics and Christians across America who view Easter Sunday solely as a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Furthermore, Leavitt accused the Biden administration of prohibiting religious egg designs in its Easter Art Event, part of the White House’s Easter traditions, including the annual Easter Egg Roll.
