Chelsea is again being mentioned as a possible destination for Neymar this summer after Todd Boehly met with PSG.
ESPN Deportes reports on this.
Why Chelsea Should Start Using David Datro Fofana
Chelsea appears to be positioning themselves to make an exceptional move as Neymar looks ready to depart PSG this summer.
What is the backstory?
According to the Brazilian news agency, Boehly spoke with PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi in Paris and discussed the possibility of Neymar heading to Stamford Bridge.
PSG is willing to sell the Brazil international to shed his £606,000-a-week contract, having tried and failed to move him in 2022.
According to ESPN Deportes, Neymar was offered to Chelsea during the January transfer window, and while Boehly was enticed, no formal offer was made.
However, the Blues may now be able to sign the South American phenomenon, who has been regarded as a “world-class” footballer by PSG boss Christophe Galtier in an interview with Ligue 1’s official website.
ESPN believes Neymar will end up at Stamford Bridge after Manchester United chose not to pursue a deal for the 31-year-old after being ‘traumatized’ by their previous connection with a superstar in Cristiano Ronaldo.
In his 29 games this season, the PSG No.10 has scored 18 goals and provided 17 assists.
Neymar’s performance under Pochettino is important because a Chelsea reunion is possible.
Neymar made 47 appearances for PSG under Mauricio Pochettino before being replaced by Galtier in July 2022.
Under the Argentine, the Chelsea target had a productive period, scoring 21 goals and giving 16 assists in 47 appearances as PSG won the Ligue 1 title, Coupe de France, and Trophée des Champions.

Even though Brazil’s talisman bears a diva image, Pochettino appeared to like working with him.
“It’s so easy with Neymar,” the 51-year-old added, according to the Guardian. He’s humble and attentive.”
If ESPN Deportes is to be believed, the duo could reconcile in West London.
