Journalist Dean Jones has revealed that Wilfried Zaha is certainly on Chelsea’s list of prospective transfer targets this summer.
He told GiveMeSport that he has been connected despite the Blues being packed in the wide areas of attack, some of whom they are attempting to offload.
It is probable Zaha is going to be available for free this summer as his contract with Crystal Palace is ready to finally come to an end.
This will no doubt be putting a lot of elite sides on notice for a potential steal this summer.
Chelsea has been linked with the acquisition of the Ivory Coast international, as he has constantly impressed in the Premier League.
He has previously been dubbed as ‘unplayable’ by pundit Tony Cascarino, and he would surely be an interesting addition at Stamford Bridge.
Zaha linked to Chelsea
Jones has reported that despite the strength in depth the club currently has, Zaha is a name being considered by Todd Boehly at Chelsea.
He said: “Zaha is somebody that has been linked with Chelsea for a few years now. At the moment, I probably only give it a low to medium rating in the chances of it happening. “And that’s because Chelsea have so many players of his type currently in this group and they’re trying to offload three or four of them at the moment. But certainly, they indeed have him on the list.”
With the futures of Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke currently looking bright after their January signings, it would be recommended the Blues seek other areas this summer.
It has previously been rumored that possible new manager Mauricio Pochettino is instead aiming to target a goalkeeper, center midfielder, and striker in an attempt to help the club return to the top end of the standings.
