The ex-coach of Fulham commends Lookman for his remarkable dedication and effort on the field.

Atalanta winger, Ademola Lookman has said the team is set for battle against Liverpool. Gian Piero Gasperini’s men will travel to Anfield on Thursday (today) for the first leg of their UEFA Europa League quarter-final clash. Liverpool are overwhelming favourites to win the tie but Lookman insisted that they will go all out to prove their mettle. “The spectacle speaks for itself, but for us, there is an opportunity for us to go and show what we are about,” Lookman told The Athletic. “We’ve earned the right to be here, so let’s go there and play our football.” The 26-year-old has played against Liverpool five times in the past, registering one goal and one assist.

Former Fulham caretaker manager, Stuart Gray has praised Ademola Lookman for his hard work and dedication.

Lookman played under Gray during his loan stint at Fulham in the 2020/21 season.

The Nigeria international scored five goals in 35 appearances with the Whites getting relegated from the Premier League.

Gray was impressed with the winger’s dedication and professionalism during the period they worked together.

“He’s one of the most dedicated professionals I’ve seen who just wanted to work hours and hours on the training pitch. He was first in the building and would leave when the staff did,” he told The Scottish Sun.

“The biggest thing was trying to educate him that Saturday when we played was most important. We had to drag him off the training ground, He would stay back for hours working on technical work, taking free-kicks, crossing or shooting.”

Lookman is currently in the books of Serie A club, Atalanta.
