The Gombe State Police Command apprehended a 23-year-old individual, Adamu Maikudi, for the theft of 23 cows in Golombi village, situated within the Shongom Local Government Area of the state.
Adamu Maikudi, a resident of Mai Rana village in Billiri Local Government Area, was caught by the police for his involvement in the theft, while two other accomplices are still at large.
According to the state police command’s Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police Mahid Muazu Abubakar, Maikudi sold the 23 cows belonging to Anchau Maishanu.
Mahid explained that Maishanu had lodged a report at the Pero Chonge Divisional Police headquarters, alleging that Maikudi and two others had conspired to steal his cows from Golombi village and subsequently sold them.
“Maishanu reported at Pero Chonge Divisional Police headquarters that three suspects, including Maikudi, conspired among themselves and stole his 23 cows from Golombi village and sold them. The case was reported, and an investigation was carried out, resulting in Maikudi’s arrest and the recovery of all the exhibits,” Mahid stated.
