The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has affirmed that President Bola Tinubu will be content with whomever emerges as the party’s candidate on April 20.
The party’s chairman, Ade Adetimehin, made this declaration, dismissing speculations of potential turmoil within the party following the primaries.
During a meeting with aspirants at the APC secretariat in Akure, the state capital, Adetimehin emphasized the party’s imperative to avoid crisis leading up to the primaries.
He asserted that the APC stands as the most robust and stable party in the state, ensuring confidence in securing victory in the forthcoming governorship polls.
Adetimehin commended the quality of aspirants vying for the party’s ticket, signaling the party’s commitment to ensuring a fair playing field for all.
The party chairman urged aspirants to exercise caution in their statements to prevent political tensions.
He stated, “The State Working Committee and the State Executive Committee under my leadership will make every effort to discharge our duties, notwithstanding any challenges, to ensure an equitable, transparent, credible, and seamless primary election.”
“We will uphold due process in all party decisions and adhere to all existing laws, regulations, and guidelines provided by the National Working Committee to enable party members to select the best candidate freely,” he affirmed.
