Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has reaffirmed his administration’s legitimacy, asserting that the people of Rivers State can attest to his victory in the 2023 gubernatorial election.
Addressing members of the Family Support Group during their solidarity visit to the Government House in Port Harcourt, Governor Fubara urged the people not to be alarmed, assuring them of his administration’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding their lives and properties.
Represented by the Head of the Civil Service, Dr. George Nwaeke, the governor emphasized that his government is dedicated to serving all segments of society, including youth, women, men, and all well-meaning Nigerians who desire the progress of the state.
In a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Governor Fubara stated, “The entire populace of Rivers State bears witness to our fair election victory and our mandate to serve out our full tenure. There will be no disruptions to the popular mandate bestowed upon this administration.”
He further highlighted the ongoing infrastructural developments initiated by his administration, including the Port Harcourt Ring Road project, which is set to connect six local governments and is expected to be completed within 36 months, if not sooner due to the remarkable progress observed.
Governor Fubara also announced the commencement of the construction of the Elele-Egbeda-Omoku Road, which will be expanded from a single lane to a dual carriageway, emphasizing the government’s commitment to enhancing connectivity and infrastructure across the state.
