Mikel Obi affirmed his retirement from football in a post through his authority Instagram account.
The former Super skipper resigned after an effective profession with the Nigeria public group and at the club level.

“Being the way that he has resigned at 35 years old years, we so much accept that he will convey the youthful ones along and he will ensure he advances the young men in Nigeria and all over Africa and to see that they can ride on and play great football.”
