Gary Neville has softened his opinion of Todd Boehly, complimenting the American owner for selecting Mauricio Pochettino as Chelsea’s next manager.
Having spent the majority of the summer criticizing him and Clearlake Capital for their haphazard approach to life at the club, Neville has continued to express his displeasure with how the Blues have been governed this season, despite the departures of Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter. There is precedent for him putting his foot down and ruffling feathers at Cobham as a demanding figure who was able to revamp the bloated Spurs squad in 2014. Neville believes that taking this stance will benefit his team while also separating him from Boehly.
