Maresca confirms Chelsea’s first-choice goalkeeper

Why I don’t consider Guardiola a manager – Chelsea boss, Maresca

Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has named Robert Sanchez as his first-choice goalkeeper.

Maresca confirmed this to reporters during his Friday’s press conference ahead of this weekend’s trip to Wolves.

Sanchez was selected for the first league fixture against Manchester City, which the Blues lost 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Four days later, Maresca picked Filip Jorgesen for the UEFA Conference League play-off first leg against Servette at home.

He has now confirmed that both keepers will be used for those competitions moving forward.

“If the level continues to be the same, then probably Robert will be Premier League starting goalkeeper and Filip in the Conference League or the domestic cups,” Maresca said.
