Chelsea outcast Following the 4-1 defeat to Manchester United, less than 24 hours after helping Brighton qualify for the Europa League, Levi Colwill faces backlash from the club’s fans.
Colwill has made a mark on the south coast side this season and has become the subject of strong transfer rumors after hinting at a possible return next season. Despite Chelsea’s high regard for him and ambitions to integrate him under Mauricio Pochettino, neither the player nor his present manager, Roberto De Zerbi, have shied away from speaking out.
“Brighton has been quite helpful to me. They placed their trust in me when others did not, and I enjoy repaying that trust. We’ll see what happens. “I’m not sure what will happen [at Chelsea],” he told the Athletic in an interview.
“Every aspect, on and off the field, has been incredible.” So much has been taught to me. I’ve matured not only as a player, but also as a man, and I credit it to the manager and the players. “I’ve enjoyed every minute of it.”I’m not one to forecast the future. I’m taking it day by day, but it’s been an incredible experience.”
The 20-year-old England youth defender also admitted that he forgot he was a Chelsea player in a series of comments that have frightened and infuriated fans as the summer season approaches.
Colwill has now enraged even more people by publishing an image of himself and Billy Gilmour online only minutes after Chelsea’s defeat at Old Trafford. When asked how his evening was going, Colwill replied, “Brilliant!!!!!” to a question from a popular online Brighton fan.

Colwill was also putting up four fingers in the image he decided to upload, which may have been a coincidence. He had also posted a snapshot of him earlier in the day, which Gilmour captioned, “Have a good day seagulls.”
Why Chelsea Should Start Using David Datro Fofana
This summer, he is in high demand, and De Zerbi is among those hoping to keep him at Brighton. “I’d like to work with him for another two, three, four years because it’s difficult to find another left center-back of his quality,” De Zerbi said last month of his player. “He’s a nice guy.” This year, I believe he has made significant progress. His progress has been astounding. I’m hoping he’ll be able to stay with us.”
