Deep into the second half’s stoppage time, the matter came to a head. After a VAR check, the Brazilian was dismissed for striking Valencia forward Hugo Duro in the face. Only after Duro had the Brazilian in a headlock and the Valencia players had gotten in his face. The latter received no consequences for his acts.
