According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea won’t be attempting to sign Eden Hazard this summer.
Despite the obvious feel-good element that would come with the return of a club great, he has stated on YouTube that the Blues are focusing on other areas to strengthen.

This past weekend saw the release of Hazard from Real Madrid, effectively ending one of the worst signings in football history, given the potential it held.
Over the years, the cost has increased for the La Liga team as well, with Chelsea receiving more money for each championship they win.
For several seasons now, the Belgian has struggled to get enough playing time, which seemed unimaginable when he was considered the best player in the world besides Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Eden Hazard and Chelsea
When he led his nation to the World Cup last year, he didn’t have the necessary match fitness, and they were summarily eliminated at the first hurdle.
He quickly announced his retirement from international competition, although he is currently without a club as well.
Despite how simple it would be to get Hazard, according to Romano, Chelsea does not currently have any plans to do so.
Even though many Chelsea supporters are hoping for Eden Hazard to return, he said: “Chelsea are not working on the return of Eden Hazard, they have different ideas.”

Safeguard Your Assets, Embrace Peace of Mind

Despite being somewhat back to square one after missing out on signing Manuel Ugarte, the club currently appears to be prioritizing the recruitment of a midfielder.
They have reportedly always identified Moises Caicedo from Brighton as a goal for the future, but they may now step up their efforts to recruit him.
