One transfer drama that has been smoldering for years now appears to be nearing its conclusion this summer.
According to Sky Sports, West Ham will let midfielder Declan Rice depart the club in the summer.
However, two requirements seem quite unlikely to me.
They report that West Ham will only accept £120 million for Rice and that they will only consider offers from teams with Champions League football, therefore ruling Chelsea out.
I’m not sure about the Champions League team, but I believe Rice will be permitted and has earned the right to choose any club he wants to join. And £120 million is completely unreasonable and sounds like a West Ham club briefing to me.

Arsenal is said to be the favorite, with Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool also interested. I don’t think any of them would spend £120 million for a player with such a short deal.
