Chelsea ownership decisions could be made as early as Monday morning – Saudi Media bid now confirmed
There’s been a bit of a kerfuffle today about the Saudi Media bid for Chelsea, with some journalists reporting that it’s done and others denying it.
But there was no need to worry – Nizaar Kinsella is their chosen journalistic mouthpiece, and he has word from them that their bid was on time and “competitive”.

Perhaps even more interesting is the other thing he mentions in that Tweet – that there could be decisions made as early as Monday morning.
We had dared to hope that might be the case, but it still seems ambitious.
On the other hand, if they are really just whittling the offers down to a final group, it’s perfectly possible that could be done over the course of a weekend.
After that, there’s a nice two week international period for the actual transaction to take place. It will be a real admin nightmare, but with enough man hours, anything is possible.
