Loftus-Cheek signals takeover impacts
Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has said that the Blues squad are trying to not get distracted by all of the takeover talk as their focus turns to the upcoming FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace.
Speaking with the club’s official website, he said: “We try not to think about the off-field things too much to be honest, especially when you have a game of this magnitude to focus on.
“From now until the end of the season, we’ve got some really big games coming up and we can’t afford to have our minds on other things.”
Armando Broja future
Southampton manager Ralph Hassenhutl has provided an update on the future of Chelsea loanee Armando Broja with the striker impressing during his spell with St. Mary’s.
“We are not discussing this at the moment,” Hasenhuttl said, via Hampshire Live, when asked about Broja’s future and whether he could stay at Southampton beyond the end of his season-long loan spell.
“We all know the situation at Chelsea, there are a lot of changes there and it is not so easy to find the right person to talk to about futures of players. It is easier to concentrate on your job and what we can do between now and the end of the season. The higher up the table we finish, the more attractive we are for players and this is the goal for the last seven games.”
