All the latest Chelsea news and transfer rumours as they happen in our live blog on Wednesday

Hello and welcome to football.london‘s live Chelsea blog on Wednesday!

The Blues ended their season on a high note with a win over Watford as they prepare to go into the following campaign under new ownership, with Todd Boehly set to be named new owner in the coming days.

Last night, the Premier League approved the £4.25billion takeover of Chelsea after the members of the consortium fronted by U.S. billionaire Todd Boehly passed its owners’ and directors’ test. But, the sale of the club by Roman Abramovich remains subject to government approval.

The summer transfer window is looming tantalisingly over the horizon, and the west Londoners know they will have to almost completely rebuild their defence. Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger are both set to leave as free agents, while fellow defenders Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta have been heavily linked with moves to Barcelona.

Chelsea have been linked with a number of players as Tuchel looks to add depth and quality to his squad ahead of next season. With that said, sit back and let football.london bring you all the latest from west London.

Chelsea takeover confirmed

The takeover of Chelsea has been confirmed after Roman Abramovich accepted the government’s term. Todd Boehly’s consortium will now take control of the Blues.

Hazard on his future

Eden Hazard has played down speculation he will be leaving Real Madrid after the UEFA Champions League final, saying it is still his ‘dream’ to play for the Spanish champions.

“The coach knows that I still have a contract until 2024,” Hazard told HLN. “My first three seasons at Real have not gone well, so I want to show everyone what I can do. Starting with this Saturday. It has always been a dream to play for Real. It still is.”

Chelsea eye Bastoni deal amid Inter woes

Chelsea are interested in signing Inter Milan centre-half Alessandro Bastoni in the summer transfer window, according to Italian newspaper La Repubblica, via GIFN. However, the reports claims that the 23-year-old has also courted the attention of Tottenham.

Due to financial problems, Inter were ushered into the sale of Romelu Lukaku in the summer. And, it’s believed that the aforementioned issues are still at large, with the club reportedly hoping to sacrifice just one player in the upcoming transfer window.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport earlier this month, Inter want to walk away from the upcoming window with a €60 million-€70 million profit. Bastoni is valued at £60m by CIES Football Observatory.

PSG make Neymar decision

Paris Saint-Germain would not be opposed to the sale of Neymar in the upcoming transfer window, according to L’Equipe. However, the report claims that the Brazil international currently has no intention of leaving Les Parc des Princes.
