Chelsea have today been linked with one of the breakout stars of the season – RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku.
Football.London today claim that the Blues have watched him for some time, and have been impressed by his superb figures this season.
The recently capped France star has 30 goals and 20 assists this season, in just 47 appearances. His potential has long been understood, but it’s only now that he’s producing at such an incredibly prodigious rate in the Bundesliga that his position as one of the most desired players in Europe has been cemented.
These stories are basically all the same – of course we’ve “watched” Nkunku – he’s one of the top young prospects in Europe. We would imagine every Champions League club around has a tab on him. Until we hear about more concrete interest, we won’t get too excited.
Chelsea will also likely have to sell at least one attacker before they buy another.
