According to journalist Nizaar Kinsella, Chelsea has been seeking to trade Kepa Arrizabalaga for several years.

João Félix confirms he wants to stay at Chelsea: “I don’t know yet on my future, but I loved these months. I would really like to be here”.

He told the ‘London is Blue’ podcast that the Blues will struggle to sell the goalie to anyone other than the world’s leading sides.
This season has been somewhat of a comeback season for Kepa after it appeared that his time at Stamford Bridge was coming to an end with a whimper.

When previous manager Graham Potter arrived at the club, he decided to prioritize the Spain international above Edouard Mendy.
During his early years at Chelsea, the Senegalese man established himself as one of the finest in Europe, and he was named Europe’s best in his position.
For years, Chelsea had hoped to offload Kepa.
However, he has seen little action in 2023, with a brief appearance against Nottingham Forest not convincing anyone to bring him back.
While Kepa has been playing a lot more, he hasn’t exactly lit the world on fire. Many people are still surprised that a deal worth more than £70 million was struck a few years ago.
Kinsella has now stated that the Blues have been attempting to get rid of him for several years and have had no success.
“Chelsea have tried to sell Kepa almost every transfer window,” he claimed. Only the five richest English clubs, Real Madrid, and PSG can afford to sign Kepa. “I don’t think any club will pay Kepa what Chelsea does.”

A goalkeeper is apparently on the cards this summer as one of a few additions, with Andre Onana and David Raya being connected with the move.
