The England and Blues star, who has been out of action for the majority of the season due to multiple injuries, underwent surgery on his hamstring in December and was expected to be sidelined for three to four months.

Last month Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino opened up on the club captain’s condition as he hinted that the defender’s season might be over. On Wednesday, James gave an update on his injury as he shared a cryptic message on social media.

The 24-year-old took to Instagram where he uploaded a story which had a message that read, “I’ve been gone a while, but I’m doing well. Really well. The journey has been long and tough, but nothing I couldn’t handle. I’m in a good place. The comeback is on, more hungry than ever. Stay well in the meantime and see you soon.”
