The well-known and controversial figure, Idris Okuneye, famously known as Bobrisky, has been unable to fulfill the conditions for his bail granted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Bobrisky was apprehended by the Lagos State Command of the EFCC on Wednesday due to allegations of mutilating, abusing, and spraying naira notes.
Dele Oyewale, the spokesperson for EFCC, disclosed this development on Thursday, stating that “he has been given administrative bail but has not yet met the bail requirements.”
According to a statement released by the EFCC on their official page on Thursday, the 31-year-old was summoned following a video report showing him spraying and displaying bundles of new naira notes at the premiere of “Ajakaju,” a film produced by Nollywood actress Eniola Ajao, held at Film One Circle Mall in Lekki, Lagos, on March 24, 2024.
The EFCC further stated that their investigation uncovered additional instances where Bobrisky allegedly committed similar offenses at various event venues and parties on separate occasions.
